On Thursday December 29th, the Manor House String Duo performed our last wedding of 2011 at one of our favourite and most regular local venues – Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire.
As the couple were getting married in the Milton Suite, a string duo was perfect for this intimate space with 45 guests present. We were able to take our place at the top of the stone steps which meant that we had a clear view of the bride as she entered and were able to project well acoustically. Here is a video of our string duo performing a movement by Mozart:
After the ceremony, we continued to play for the hour and a half taken by the drinks reception and many guests enjoyed our lively and varied selection of music. The venue was tastefully decorated for the Christmas period and had a magical feel to it for this winter wedding (do view our article about the advantages of winter weddings).
