Manor House Music was founded in 2006 as a string quartet and string duo and is situated on the borders of Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, 35 miles north west of London. We’ve now performed at over 800 weddings, corporate events, anniversaries and concerts in over 200 different venues in the South East, South West and Midlands. With a massive Playlist of over 50 hours of music to choose from (with over 15 hours of modern rock and pop arrangements alone!), we can provide music for any event and are happy to work with you to meet any special requirements you may have. The combination of our beautiful arrangements and high quality performances creates an inspiring musical backdrop to any special occasion. The various members of the group also play with many of the country’s leading chamber groups and orchestras, individually touring across the globe and appearing on many classical and film soundtrack recordings.
Vaughan Jones (violin) created Manor House Music, realising there was a need for a top quality string quartet who could not only play for weddings, civil partnerships and corporate functions but could also be booked for concerts and festivals, providing a high calibre of performance for all events.
Vaughan is a skilled violinist and string arranger. His detailed and imaginative arrangements enable the quartet and duo to offer clients a vast selection of music from all genres – from classical favourites such as Pachelbel’s Canon in D to entertaining covers of up-to-date pop songs. He is happy to put together a unique programme of music for your event and with notice, will prepare any special requests you may have.
Before concentrating fully on chamber music, Vaughan studied at the Royal College of Music, the Aspen Music School in Colorado and performed for several years with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra. He has released a series of albums with the Manor House String Quartet and these can be viewed and purchased on our Classical CD Shop page.
