Travellers Tales at St Mary’s

On Saturday evening (after performing at a wedding in Hertfordshire during the afternoon), we gave our first concert in the 13th century Church of St Mary the Virgin, in Eaton Bray - Bedfordshire. The church had previously  hosted a jazz event and has a choral concert planned for later in the year, but it was [...]

Candlelit Concert, St Giles, Cheddington

On Friday the 11th December we  really got into the Christmas spirit with a programme of winter and festive music performed by candlelight in our village Church, St Giles, Cheddington. Everyone [...]

Concert at St Giles Church - Preparation!

Although the quartet are very accustomed to travelling long distances to play, this week, it’s particularly nice to be playing a concert about a five minute walk from my house. We’re going to be performing a concert tomorrow evening in St Giles Church in our home village of Cheddington - and have been working hard [...]

Schubert, Van Bree and Spain Dunk!

One of the greatest pleasures of being a musician is getting together with colleagues just to play through chamber music for our own enjoyment.  Rather than working hard in rehearsals preparing a piece for a concert or recording, we can just sight-read through new repertoire that we’ve never played before, try out lesser known pieces and sometimes [...]
