Invitation to the Dance - A Concert

On Friday, we gave our first concert in St Mary’s Church, Haddenham. As this was also the first time we’d performed a recital in the village, it was a real unknown in many ways - we were not sure whether we’d have a large audience or just a few people along this first time. Having [...]

Invitation to the Dance - Concert in Haddenham

Well it’s been a very busy couple of weeks as our first concert in Haddenham (near Aylesbury and Thame) is approaching fast. The concert will be on very similar lines to our other ‘popular classics’ recitals, with most of the music performed being well known classical pieces, presented in a light and informal way - [...]

Duty, Concerts and a Pleasant Surprise

We had a nice comment yesterday. Speaking to someone who had attended our concert in Eaton Bray on Saturday the 5th of June, he made the observation that after talking to lots of members of the congregation since the concert, several people commented that they had turned up out of ‘duty’ to the recital as [...]

Travellers Tales at St Mary’s

On Saturday evening (after performing at a wedding in Hertfordshire during the afternoon), we gave our first concert in the 13th century Church of St Mary the Virgin, in Eaton Bray - Bedfordshire. As usual, we spent the whole day rehearsing hard, with two hours of music to perfect for the evening. The rest of the group arrived around 11am and we [...]

Concert at St Mary’s Eaton Bray - 5th June 2010

It’s now only about a month to go before our concert in St Mary’s Church, Eaton Bray. As this is the first time we’ll have played in the village, we are keeping the concert program very light and popular to hopefully appeal to a wide audience, including those who might not normally go to a [...]

Forthcoming Concert at St Giles Church, Cheddington

It seems quite recently that we were blogging about our Christmas concert in St Giles Church, Cheddington (our own village) and already the spring sunshine is here and we’re busy programming for another concert in the church to take place on May the 14th 2010.
As each time we play in the village, we try to [...]

The concert hall at the venue seats approximately 70 audience members and provides anintimate atmosphere where performers and audience feel as if the music is being [...]

Musicians perform without charge but are able to nominate a good cause or [...]
