Wedding in Buckinghamshire – String Duo
Last Saturday the string duo (violin and cello) played for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast of a couple who had just got married in a nearby church. The reception was held on the farm of the groom’s father and as it was a hot sunny day, we performed under a specially erected gazebo. Many of the guests took the opportunity to take photos of us and the music added greatly to the atmosphere of the gathering.
We then relocated to a very impressive marquee where we performed next to a ballustrade which formed the entrance. We continued until the cutting of the cake (which happened slightly earlier than planned due to the hot weather) and were able to pass on our congratulations to the bridal couple before the speeches were due to commence.
