Wedding in Stewkley, Buckinghamshire
Yesterday, Emma and myself performed as a violin and viola duo for a wedding held in the Methodist Chapel in Stewkley and then a reception held in a marquee on a farm in Dunstan which is a nearby village in Buckinghamshire. As this engagement was literally a 15 minute drive from home, it was one of the most local bookings we have had this year.
We played as guests were waiting for the entrance of the Bride and also at various points throughout the ceremony. Guests then congregated outside for photographs whilst we made a head start on our short journey to the reception venue where we set up ready for the wedding party to arrive. We continued playing throughout the drinks reception, receiving line as well as the beginning of the wedding breakfast. The guests and bridal couple were all very appreciative, with the groom particularly happy with the ease at which he felt he had been able to plan the music with our help leading up to the big day.
