Wedding Reception at the Wapping Project
Last Saturday, the quartet were booked to perform during a wedding reception held at the Wapping Project. This unique space (a converted hydraulic power station) is normally home to art and cinematic installations as well as other artforms such as dance. As such it is rarely opened up for use as a wedding venue.
The quartet performed outside in a garden area as drinks and canapes were served. We performed a lively and varied set of music to accompany the celebrations before everyone made their way inside for the wedding breakfast. The quartet projected well in the industrial surroundings with plenty of brick and metal for the sound to bounce off. All in all it was a very unusual and surprisingly peaceful venue in the heart of a rejuvinated part of London.
