Wedding at Hawkwell House Hotel
Yesterday we played for another Thursday wedding, this time at Hawkwell House Hotel in Iffley near Oxford. We performed as a string duo with the combination of violin with viola and began by providing some soothing pre ceremony music to calm the nerves of friends and family alike. There was a discussion about the ceremony taking place outside, but in the end it was a little too chilly and it took place inside the venue.
We played for the various parts of the ceremony itself before relocating to the bar area to continue with a selection of varied music as a backdrop to the drinks reception. We eventually finished our set with guests enjoying a last drink before being called through for the wedding breakfast.
