Wedding at Ettington Park, Warwickshire

Yesterday, the quartet were pleased to return to Ettington Park in Warwickshire to play for a wedding ceremony and reception. Having played at the venue several times, we were very much looking forward to going back as the staff always give us a really warm welcome.

We provided music as guests assembled for the ceremony and played two pieces - one for the entrance of the bridesmaids (Pachelbel’s Canon in D) which was followed by the entrance of the bride herself (Bridal Chorus by Wagner).

After the ceremony guests briefly went outside for photographs but soon returned to the warmer surroundings of the drawing room where we entertained them with a selection of music which had been hand picked by the bride and groom. As a special request, we had also been asked to arrange and play ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ by Elgar as the newly married couple entered for the wedding breakfast. We continued to play until speeches were imminent and received many appreciative comments from the guests and staff - it was a lovely occasion and one that we will particularly remember.
