Wedding at the Falcon Hotel, Northamptonshire
Last Friday, Julia and I performed as a string duo at the Falcon Hotel in Castle Ashby, Northamptonshire. It was another occasion where the string duo made having live music possible because a string quartet would not have fit into the ceremony room or been practical during the reception drinks in the garden area. We provided 15 minutes of music to create a nice atmosphere as guests arrived and took their seats before playing the Pachelbel Canon for the bridal entrance (in a special arrangement for Violin and Cello) and other classical pieces during the signing of the register and for the exit of the married couple.
During the reception drinks, we moved outside to a patio area overlooking the garden and marquee and played for approximately two hours which a number of guests said was most enjoyable and set just the right tone for the wedding reception.
