Wedding at Wasing Park, Berkshire

On Saturday, the string quartet played for a very special couple at the beautiful location of Wasing Park near Aldermaston in Berkshire. The couple really valued the musical contribution for their wedding and had searched us out for the amount of repertoire we had to offer (the groom had gone through our entire classical selection and listened to samples online to decide which pieces to choose).

The ceremony took place in the little chapel onsite and as there was insufficient space for a quartet had us playing for the reception drinks in the new building located next to the barn conversion. Here we entertained guests with a wide variety of different styles and had many interactions with the guests.

Later we moved to a corner of the barn which was conveniently placed to entertain the top table. The music seemed to compliment conversation perfectly with a few of the numbers receiving gentle applause from some of the guests.

All in all it was most rewarding to play for such a welcoming bride and groom who thoroughly enjoyed the contribution made by the string quartet.
