Music for a Summer’s Evening - Concert at Eaton Bray
On the 10th September, the quartet will be giving our second concert in the lovely village church of St Mary the Virgin in Eaton Bray (a village between Leighton Buzzard and Dunstable). The concert will aim to raise funds for the upkeep of the church and if it goes as well as last time, ought to be a really enjoyable evening.
The programme of music is on a theme of ‘Summer’s Evenings’ and will include music such as Vivaldi’s ‘Summer’ (from the Four Seasons), ‘The Flower Duet’ by Delibes, ‘The Swan’ from the Carnival of the Animals by Saint Saens and ‘Reverie’ by Debussy.
Tickets are £7.50 and available from Sharon Stilliard on 01525 222283, or on the door if remaining.
As with most of our concerts, the musicians will be myself and Louise Bevan on violins, Adrian Smith on Viola and Julia Graham on cello.
There will be a licensed bar where drinks will be served during the interval and the church website with details of the exact location is here. We are very much looking forward to returning to play at this church and are hoping that plenty of money is raised on the evening.
