Wedding at the Marriot Hotel, Swiss Cottage
Last Sunday, Julia (cellist) and myself played as a string duo for a wedding in North London. The ceremony took place at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church and it was the first time we had played for a Greek Wedding ceremony. It was an enjoyable experience as it was full of traditions which were completely new to us. This was an excellent example of a larger wedding where the string duo worked well. We had no problems projecting at the various points during the wedding ceremony as the acoustics in the church were generous.
After the service, everyone re-located to the Marriot Hotel near Swiss Cottage where we performed during the wedding breakfast. We received many nice comments from guests and we look forward to playing at the Marriot again in the future.
