This Friday, our string quartet is very much looking forward to playing again in our local village church, St Giles in Cheddington. The church are splitting the profits from the concert between the ‘Cherish Your Church’ campaign and the St Giles Church Bell Restoration Appeal.

As usual, we will be presenting a programme of light and popular pieces based on a theme and this year we’ve chosen the Alphabet, with each piece representing a letter from A through to Z. Without giving too much away at this stage, the concert will start with the letter A, represented by Air on a G string (from Suite no. 3 by J.S Bach) and will include the Can Can for C, a piece by Delibes for D and so on….

Tickets are available by calling Stewart Miles on 01296 660427 and are priced at £10 (full) or £7 (concessions) including a glass of wine and nibbles. The concert starts at 7.30pm and will be in two halves with an interval – there are toilet facilities in the church.
