Wedding at Gorse Hill, Woking, Surrey
On Friday, myself and Ali (cello) played as a string duo for a wedding held at Gorse Hill just outside Woking in Surrey. Of the many hundreds of venues which we have played at, this one certainly proved to be one of the friendliest, with very personable staff who made us feel extremely welcome.
As each ceremony room differs in dimensions and layout, we could have be placed either at the front or the back of the room for the duration of the service. We opted to be at the back of the room so that we had a clear view of the bridal entrance and there was plenty of space for us. The bridal couple had chosen several favourite pieces of music for the ceremony and these were greatly appreciated by guests.
After the service, we provided music for the reception drinks and as it was a warm day, moved outside to entertain guests as photographs were being taken.
