String Duo for a Wedding at Dodmoor House, Northamptonshire
Today Reiad and I played for a couple who were having a blessing ceremony at Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire. We play at this venue very regularly both as a string duo and as a string quartet and it’s always a real pleasure because the staff are so welcoming with the ambiance of the venue being so warm and atmospheric.
The couple had got married earlier in the day with only a handful of people present and the blessing was meant as a more public acknowledgment of their commitment. It was an emotional service which was taken by the bride’s sister with the string duo providing music for the entrance and the exit. After that, guests moved to the adjacent building for a drinks reception with photographs and we made use of a very handy mezzanine floor from which to play and keep people entertained.
