Last Sunday, we played at the National Trust property Cliveden House, near Taplow in Berkshire. This splendid house full of history was a memorable backdrop to a lovely occasion.

The string quartet provided music for the 70 or so guests as they entered on a surprisingly warm and sunny October day. The bride opted to walk up the aisle to Wagner’s Bridal Chorus with Tchaikovsky’s Waltz of the Flowers during the signing of the register. At the end of the ceremony, the married couple exited to Mendelssohn’s Wedding March. After the ceremony, a talented singer performed a number of pieces before we resumed playing during the drinks reception.

The bridal couple particularly enjoyed the selection of music we played and we wish them well in their future life together.
