Wedding at Addington Palace, Croydon
On Saturday we played for a wedding at Addington Palace which is situated amidst miles of the most attractive countryside despite only being a few miles from the centre of Croydon in Surrey.
We played for an hour before the ceremony in the bar as guests were arriving and hopefully created a welcoming atmosphere. The quartet then re-located to the ceremony room and waited for the bridal entrance - there were also guests who arrived at the last moment (no doubt something to do with the M25) and we were ready when the bride made her entrance.
After the ceremony, we returned to the bar area and played much more upbeat and modern music which was enjoyed by many of all ages.
