Wedding at the Great House, Sonning on Thames
Last Saturday we provided music for the reception drinks and wedding breakfast at the Great House Hotel in Sonning on Thames, Berkshire. As the bride had actually booked us before (for a corporate event last year), we had met before so were particularly looking forward to playing for her big day. The ceremony had taken place at a church nearby and as guests arrived we were all ready to start playing a lively selection of music for string duo. We had a captive audience who applauded after each piece and were able to play for a wide range of ages. We took a break during the speeches and afterwards, entertained guests from the patio outside as there was not sufficient room inside - nevertheless, many people commented that they could hear us clearly and how much they were enjoying the music.
