Wedding at Luton Hoo, Bedfordshire

On Saturday, we were booked to play for a wedding held at Luton Hoo in Bedfordshire. Despite being ou the outskirts of Luton, the venue is surrounded by impressive gardens and has a ‘countryside’ feel to it with lake, grounds and mature trees - so it was a perfect setting for the elegance of a string quartet.

The wedding room itself can accommodate a large number of guests and there were several alcoves which were ideal for the quartet to set up and play in. After the ceremony, the reception drinks were held on the lawn at the back of the buildings, overlooking the lake - and here under a gazebo, we were able to play a varied mix of energetic and upbeat music which delighted the guests.

As Luton Hoo is very local to us, we would love to play there again and in fact already have a booking in our 2011 diary for a wedding at the same venue.
