Wedding at Crockwell Farm

By vaughan • June 18, 2010 • Posted in: Weddings

Last week we had another glorious sunny Saturday afternoon and were fortunate enough to spend it playing for a wedding at the lovely location of Crockwell Farm in rural Northamptonshire. The wedding room is a delightful area and the quartet fit quite easily to the right hand side of the registrars desk, allowing the couple to approach it from either side for signing the register and photographs.

The bride entered to the ever popular Pachelbel’s Canon in D and during the signing of the register we were asked to play some more contemporary pieces. During the reception drinks, the string quartet were able to use the shade of a large tree to play outside and keep everyone entertained with a very varied programme covering just about every style of music. Later, we provided music for the wedding breakfast which took place in a very impressive marquee which is a permanent fixture next to the bar area.
