Wedding at the Priory Barn, Little Wymondley
Last Saturday afternoon, we returned once again to another venue which is quite local to us - the Priory Barn in Little Wymondley, near Ware in Hertfordshire. As we had an evening concert to perform in Eaton Bray, all the material for the evening had been thoroughly rehearsed beforehand so that we were able to play at the wedding on the same day.
We set up in an alcove at one side of the barn and entertained guests with some classical music before the wedding ceremony such as ‘The Swan’ by Saint Saens and ‘Salut d’Amour’ by Elgar, with the bride entering to one of her favourite pieces of music ‘Gabriel’s Oboe’ by Morricone as featured in the film ‘The Mission’. It was a beautifully warm day and the barn looked stunning with all the tables tastefully decorated. After the ceremony guests enjoyed reception drinks on the lawn outside overlooking an expansive pond - we played under a gazebo and the music was upbeat and energetic, creating a lively and celebratory feel.
