Wedding at The Dairy, Waddesdon

On Saturday we returned for the second time in a week to the Dairy at Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire. Again, this was a booking for the quartet and we played excerpts from Vivaldi’s Spring and Summer from the four seasons in front of attentive guests before the bride entered. One special aspect of the ceremony was that instead of a second reading, the bridal couple had requested us to play during the ceremony itself as well as during the signing of the register. This worked very well and was an unusual and original touch.

After the service, we stayed in place as guests were photographed outside but as it was a chilly November day, everyone soon returned indoors and enjoyed a varied selection of music whilst they sipped their reception drinks.

It is always nice to play in venues that are extremely familiar and as Waddesdon is so geographically close to home, we do play for quite a few weddings and functions there and experience it in all seasons.
