Weddings at Heythrop Park
On Saturday, we were pleased to return once again to perform for another wedding at Heythrop Park. This wedding venue is set amongst miles of beautiful countryside with unspoiled view of the Oxfordshire countryside to the front and back of the building.
We were hired to play for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast. As it was a fine day the reception took place outdoors in the gardens at the back of the house and the best shaded area for us was halfway down a very large and impressive stone staircase. From here, we provided a selection of upbeat music and because of our elevated position, the music could be heard all over the garden.
For the wedding breakfast we moved inside where there was a perfect little stage area which meant that we were well out of the way of any of the waiters serving drinks and could be heard perfectly all the way to the top table.
Although for most of the weddings we play for, we are given a personalised playlist which the bride and groom have put together, on this occasion the choice of music was left entirely up to us so we put together a strong programme of favourites that (in our experience) guests always respond really well to.
